Manchester United had dominated the game and created a lot of chances as expected but they were left well frustrated by Burnley at Turf Moor

Early into the game, Varane ran onto a Bruno Fernandes free-kick and had the ball in the net for his first goal for the club but VAR had it disallowed due to a Maguire foul on James Rodriguez. At the 18th minute, Shaw sliced a delicious cross into the box for Paul Pogba to slot in his first premier league goal of the season.

Manchester United also had another goal chalked off by VAR after which Burnley’s Nick Pope made stunning saves to deny Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani.

Weghorst conveniently slipped past Harry Maguire to set up Rodriguez’s equalizer.

This draw means Manchester United are now fifth on table and could go farther below if the three teams below them win all their games in hand.
Burnley is also four points away from getting out of the relegation zone and have been unbeaten for the past three games.

United will face Southampton at home on Saturday while Burnley host Liverpool at the Turf Moor on Sunday.
