Exclusive interview with Destiny Richard, the face of IOI, February edition.
1. Good evening, welcome to this interview, may we know you?
Interviewee: Hi there! My name is Destiny Richard O. Popularly known as “Boss’De“. I’m a Real Estate Entrepreneur, a Gospel Singer, and an Inspirational Teacher. I’m the Founder/CEO of Homavill Groups Inc (A Digital Real Estate Company).
I’m currently a 400lvl student in the Department of Estate Management, Faculty of EDM, OAU.
2. How do you feel being the face of the week of the biggest brand on OAU campus?
Interviewee: I feel great and thrilled to be the Face Of IOI.
3. What inspired you to contest?
Interviewee: Well, what Inspired me to contest was the fact that I knew IOI is OAU biggest media brand, and they will help me in promoting both “Me” and “Homavill”.
4. Did you ever feel you’d be the winner during the contest?
Interviewee: At some point, I gave up having seen the wide gap my competitors gave me, my motivation went down the drain but something in me told me to just give it one more try. I contacted my people back at home and Boom! They started the vote, close friends and family took it upon themselves to ensure I won, I contacted some of my UK friends and they told their friends and that’s how I found myself emerge the winner all thanks to everyone who voted for me. This appreciation and win are for them.
5. Your relationship status?
Interviewee: I’m single but I have found..😋
6. What do you have to say to everyone that casted their votes for you?
Interviewee: I am so grateful you took the stress, took out the time, used your data all for me to stand up again. I appreciate you all from the depth of my heart. This helped me to believe once again in the phrase that says “there is someone out there who truly cares”.
7. What were the lessons you learnt during the process of this contest?
Interviewee: I learnt patience, voicing out your situation is also important, people are willing to support your goals, I learnt to trust.
8. Do you have a favorite spot on campus: where and why?
Interviewee: The Tree Spot opposite Banking Area at Sports Complex. It’s because the view is a wide-open space for my big imagination, vision, and dreams.
9. What would you say was your favorite course while on campus? and why?
Interviewee: Well, my favorite courses are all my departmental courses because I get to relate with my departmental lecturers, I have never liked external courses because they are just a bypass course to me.
10. What would you say is your favourite philosophy of life?
Interviewee: My favorite philosophy of life is that life knows what you want and so to acquire the best and great things of life it will require you to “Start Where You Are, Use What You Have and Do The Best You Can, With A Smile On Your Face.”
11. What are the things you call hobbies?
Interviewee: My hobbies are Singing, being Creative, Designing a graphic, watching value offering videos on YouTube e.g by Danlok, Ryan Serhant, etc.
12. Tell us something unique that the average person doesn’t know about you.
Interviewee: I’m a YouTuber, I enjoy making vlogs with others people in my video, or I make it personal. I’m a water lover, a wolf lover, A Japanese lover, A Jazz lover, and my favorite color is Blue. I am a fan of Nathaniel Bassey, Hillsong United and Omah lay.
13. In conclusion, is there anything you’d like to tell the world?
Alright, I will love to tell the world that “Be Optimistic, Believe In Yourself And In Christ, For He Loves You And Knows Your Tomorrow.”
14. What do you have to say about the brand?
The IOI Brand so far has and is still proving the best in the OAU Media Industry. I applaud this brand and it is my prayer that It will continue to live up to its legacies.
