The Mike Okonkwo National Essay Competition is seeking entries from secondary school students in Nigeria for its 17th edition, which will take place in November. This competition was established in 2004 to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Mike Okonkwo (MFR), Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church of Nigeria (TREM), and, more importantly, to contribute to the growth of the educational sector in Nigeria. Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), also known as Power in the Word, which has over 200 branches in Nigeria and throughout the world, Dr. Mike Okonkwo is a Nigerian pastor and author.
