The Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics(ASUP) is currently on a two-weeks warning strike to express their grievance,in collaboration with Academic Staff Union Of Universities(ASUU )that has been on strike since February 14 2022, with the motive of demanding for their rights. The rights are here.

Currently, the National President of ASUP,Dr Anderson Ezeibe, has confirmed in an interview on Thursday that the government has started responding by paying the minimum wage arears. But the union stated this action is actually a step out of the cave because the full expectations of the union is not yet met to the optimal state.
The Chairman of FUTMINNA,Dr Gbolahan Bolarin, has confirmed the commencement of the payments minimum arears in an interview.
The Union is yet to call-off the strike but the students are advised to keep their fingers crossed in expectancy of resumption. The students have announced that the EndASUUstrike protest continues till the strike is officially called off.
