Before applying for a student visa, it is essential that the visa applicant has been accepted by their various institutions.
On acceptance, educational institutions will provide the necessary approval documentations to be used for the visa application.

UNITED STATES
The F-1 Visa is the needed visa type for any student applying to the United States solely for educational purpose also if the course study duration per week is up to 18 hours
However, to apply for the F-1 Visa to the United States, the following Application items are needed:

1. A Non-immigrant visa electronic application (DS-160) form.
2. A passport valid for travel to the US with a validity date at least six months beyond intended period of stay in the US
3. One 2×2 (25 cm by 25 cm) photograph.
4. A receipt showing payment of non refundable non-immigrant visa application processing fee paid in local currency.
Amount is $160 equivalent to NGN68,200.00
5. An approved I-20
6. A receipt for visa fee
7. A scan of the bio page of current valid passport.

UNITED KINGDOM
Application for the UK Students’ Visa is quite different from the US. While applying for a UK STUDENT VISA; the following are required:
1. A current passport or other valid travel documentation.
2. A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from your course provider.

3. Proof you’re financially able to support yourself and pay for your course.
4. A valid ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme) certificate if your course and nationality requires it.
5. Proof of parental or legal guardian consent if age is below 18
