If you’re reading this, you’re probably new to OAU and have zero clues on what or where Maintenance is or you’re weighing your options on where to stay.
Maintenance is a large body as I always say, it comprises of different female hostels, within different ranges and quality. It is one of the most expensive female hostels for OAU students. I’ll say staying in Maintenance is really worth it. Why?
STABLE POWER SUPPLY
The power supply is one of the crucial needs of every student. Considering that every hostel or house around Ile-Ife including campus experiences a power outage at one point in time, Maintenance barely experiences a power outage except there’s an issue with the transformer.
DEPENDABLE WATER SUPPLY
Every student will have a tale or two about water issues. If you want to know how this is a very big problem ask anyone that has stayed on campus one semester or two. It is on OAU campus that light doesn’t determine water supply. I thought electricity is used to power the pumping switch, reverse is the case on OAU campus. When there’s a power outage, there’s a possibility of excess water supply. Whereas Maintenance hostels barely experience this particular issue because their water supply can be dependent on
I’ve never seen a Maintenance babe carry bucket looking for water around.
COMFORTABILITY
Maintenance is a really conducive area to live. It’s not far from campus, close to the market and peaceful. Just like every female hostel on campus, Maintenance has visiting hours, men don’t just come in anyhow.
SECURITY
The security is maintenance is very tight as the hostel management values the lives of their students more than any hostel outside school. History does not have it that any hostel in maintenance was robbed, that’s how tight their security is.
You might not see any big deal in all mentioned above until you go through any of them, you’d understand what Maintenance babes are enjoying.
If you can afford it, I’d advise you to stay there. Maintenance is worth staying for your four or five years on campus. Ladies staying in Maintenance are like the top-class babes on OAU campus. If you ask me a thousand times, I’d say Maintenance is worth staying.
