The 46th Convocation Ceremony at Obafemi Awolowo University left us with a lot of surprises. From students who were unsure if they would be able to graduate to the drastic hike in transportation prices on that day, and departments who didn’t produce a single first class.
“Sport and struggle” as fondly tagged, Obafemi Awolowo University can be regarded as one of the toughest universities in Nigeria. when it comes to seeing shege, no university comes close.
OAU is one of the few Universities that rarely produce first-class students and the reason for this is best known to the lecturers. Thus a ‘great’ institution that has over the years developed a culture of glorifying students’ failure.
This list contains the departments that had no first-class graduates in OAU. Just like the popular saying “Life No Balance” , while some departments graduated 29 first-class students, some graduated none. Graduating with first class in some departments is close to being impossible, if you are in any of the departments listed above, Just like Barry Allen in the flash, you have to believe in the “impossible” to break this record. while some of these departments are naturally difficult, some just have sadist & strict lecturers above all, you will be fine
