The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) community on Monday was thrown into mourning mood following the death of an undergraduate whose level & department is yet to be confirmed, OBOH EMMANUEL.
The deceased was said to be Great Grace private School Alumnus who allegedly committed suicide on Monday 24th February 2020.
Inside OAU Media learned that he allegedly took his life following his poor academic performance, although the details of the incident are still sketchy
Thompson an alumnus of Great Grace private school confirmed that the deceased committed the alleged suicide following depression occasioned by poor academic records on his Facebook page yesterday
He wrote on His Facebook page
“Great Grace private School Alumnus and a Student of Obafemi Awolowo University OBOH EMMANUEL is gone
Emmanuel took his life out of depression (Academics)..
I use to envy dis young man in Secondary schools
Rest in Peace Oboh Emmanuel”
