A movie written by the famous screenwriting duo known as the Hong Sisters ( Hong Jung-eun & Hong Mi-ran ) “Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama set in the fictional country of Daeho, a country that does not exist in history or on maps. The drama tells the story of a country with mages whose fates become twisted due to magic that shifts people’s souls.

He was also the runaway Gwanju of Cheonbugwan who apparently was a soul-shifter after practicing the forbidden spell alchemy of souls and shifting souls with the king. Jang Gang seems to be as bright as Jang UK considering how respected he was in Daeho. we could recall that many of Jang UK remarkable achievements were attributed to the fact that he is son of the infamous Jang Gang , like father like son .

The Jagaban of Daeho , Jang UK was the fastest mage in Daeho to master Chisu, with few guides from master Lee, Jang UK was able to master chisu in weeks. Jang Uk became the only mage in the history of Daeho to have mastered Chisu in a short time.
With the help of Master Lee and his fishing technique, Jang Uk masters Chisu and catches a Golden fish. Master Lee explains the fish is “a mass of water that is formed with the energy of Lake Gyeongcheondaeho. Only masters of Chisu and above who have the ability to control water can catch it.”
